Ladislav Rabušic is a professor of sociology, specializing in population studies, quantitative research methods and social science data analysis. He has been working academically since the 1980s and has contributed significantly to the development of teaching and research in the field of demography and value studies. In the past, he has served as Dean of Faculty and Vice-Rector of Masaryk University, where he has advocated for the development of internal quality assessment and internationalization. His research focuses particularly on demographic ageing, reproductive behaviour, marriageability and the wider social impacts of population change. He is a long-term contributor to the European Values Study, an international research project that examines changes in values in Czech society in a European context. He is no longer teaching, but his portfolio included courses on sociological research methods, quantitative data analysis, population studies and the sociology of ageing. He has authored and co-authored a number of professional publications, including the books "Where are all the Children?", "Czech Society is Ageing" and "Statistical Analysis of Social Science Data". He is also significantly involved in grant and evaluation structures of science and research at national and European level.
