Martin Kreidl is a sociologist and social demographer studying family, life-course, intergenerational relations, social inequality, and methods of sociological inquiry. He is a country coordinator of the Generations and Gender Programme. He obtained his PhD from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2005. Later, we worked at the Czech Academy of Sciences and at the University of West Bohemia. He has published in major journals in the fields of sociology (e.g., European sociological review, Research in Social Stratification and Mobility) and demography (e.g., Demographic Research) as well as in several interdisciplinary journals (Advances in Life-Course Research, Population Review, Journal of Divorce and Remarriage, Journal of Sex Research, Social Justice Research).

He teaches courses on the family, survey data analysis, and sociological methodology.
