Professional orientation

is a sociologist teaching gender studies and sociology at the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University and conducting research as a member of the Office for Population Studies. Her research is focused on gender, sexuality, and the social organization of intimacy; she has also conducted research on education, gender, and ethnicity.

Research interests

She was awarded a Marie Curie fellowship, which brought her as a Visiting Scholar to Columbia University. She was also affiliated with the New York University and as a Fulbright Scholar with the New School for Social Research. As a fellow, she worked at the Imre Kertész Kolleg in Jena, Germany. She lectured at several U.S. universities, published in journals such as Sexualities or History of the Human Sciences and edited monographs published by Routledge, SAGE, Palgrave or Blackwell.
