Mgr. et Mgr. Marína Urbániková, Ph.D.
Marína Urbáníková received her Ph.D. at the Department of Sociology in 2016. She works as a lecturer at the Department of Media Studies and Journalism, where she teaches in particular courses on research methods and techniques. Also, she participates in ERC grant research examining the functioning of judicial self-government in EU countries at the Institute for Judicial Affairs at the Law Faculty. As a researcher, she has participated in many projects, for example, the project: Czech Journalists in a comparative perspective: an analysis of the process of professionalization, professional socialization, and career paths. Apart from the academic sphere, she also works as a sociologist at the Office of the Public Defender of Rights in the Methodology and analyzes section, where she focuses on research in the field of discrimination and state administration. She also cooperates with the Office of the Public Defender of Rights of the Slovak Republic.
