About the conference

As every year, the 2022 European Divorce Network meeting will take place in mid-October. If the circumstances permit, we will meet in person in the Czech city of Brno on October 13 – 15th. The conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University.

This time, it will be the 20th annual meeting of the EUDIV network, which has gradually become one of the most important platform for bringing together researchers in the fields of sociology, demography and population studies who deal with the topic of divorce.

Preliminary schedule

The call for abstracts has been released in February 2022. The submission deadline has been extended to May 15. Authors will be notified of acceptance/non-acceptance of their abstract by the end of May 2022 and conference registration will also open at this time. As the long-term developments regarding the covid-19 pandemic are hard to predict, and the Russian aggression against Ukraine introduced new source of uncertainity, the final decision on the format of the conference (online, offline) will not be reached before August 2022. Please make sure to adjust your travel plans accordingly. We do not plan to take a hybrid conference format. There are no conference fees.
